process
I work in different styles of printed graphics: woodcut (wood engraving), etching (copper etched with acid), engraving on plastic and cardboard, monotype, and linocut
my styles
Linocut is my favorite technique, and I would like to tell you more about it. The image is cut mirrored, on the smooth surface of the linoleum, using special tools
Then, the paint is applied to the resulting form with a roller. Finally, under heavy pressure, the image is squeezed onto the paper
linocut
The principle is similar to how a stamp is used: everything that has been deeply cut is not reprinted on paper, while the drawing is formed by the protruding parts of the surface
When making a color engraving, a separate printing plate is made for each color and such engravings are printed in several layers. I love that this technique has a lot of room for experimentation
